I feel like a new mom who, after months of misery and hours of labor, has finally given birth to a healthy baby!
Actually, I have no idea how that feels and that is one of the many reasons I’m glad I was born a man!
We have carried this idea around for at least nine months, though. There were also several hours of labor involved in making some much-needed updates to the website, including the addition of this blog. (We also added an archive player, added single-episode players to each “show notes” page, and updated site security.)
When Bryce and I first discussed the idea of adding a blog to our website, we envisioned an outlet for us to dive a little deeper into the subjects that we discuss on the podcast that week. It would be like a companion piece to the podcast episode. That idea has evolved over the last several months.
While we do intend to deep-dive into some subjects to provide more context or deeper insights, we will also feature content that is not directly related to any podcast episode. We also plan to have some guest bloggers in the near future. I can’t mention any names yet, but I know you will enjoy their contributions.
So, welcome to 2 Pentecostals + a Word Processor, the official 2 Pentecostals + a Microphone blog! We hope you enjoy reading and we encourage your feedback in the comments! Feel free to use the contact form to share your ideas for topics for future blog posts or podcast episodes. We want your feedback!
We are excited about the future of the podcast and the blog! While we can’t share the blog contributors yet, we can share some of our confirmed future podcast guests. We have not scheduled with these guests yet, but they have agreed to come on the show during 2020:
- Brian Kinsey (author of I Choose to Win)
- Carlton Coon (author of Light in a Dark Place, check out his last interview here)
- Jeff Ready (Director of Promotions @ UPCI Multicultural Ministries)
- Kaleb Saucer (Campus Ministry International Director)
- Jeffrey Brickle & Jeremy Painter (authors, Bible scholars, UGST professors, all-around geniuses) **Bro. Painter didn’t commit directly, but Bro. Brickle volunteered him, so we’re just going with it.**
Thank you for supporting our podcast and checking out the new version of the website with our brand new blog!
God bless,
Jaredith Mize
